South Hampstead Cricket Club History
South Hampstead Cricket Club History
For many do not know that the forefathers of South Hampstead Cricket Club are in-fact Crescent Cricket Club. Very little is actually known about Crescent Cricket Club, but what is known is that Crescent C.C was formed in 1875.
Despite the impact of two World Wars, several enforced changes of ground including the period of being a wandering club and recurrent shortages of beer, money, tea ladies and other vital ingredients, the club has now achieved one hundred unbroken seasons and has long held a place in London club cricket.
In 1900 we leased our present ground in Sidmouth Road and have been here since.
