SHCC is looking for a Head Coach

15 Nov 2019

SHCC seeks to appoint a Head Coach to unify the development of cricket in the club by setting the tone and direction of all coaching. The role is pivotal to ensure that the club’s ambitions at all level of participation are achieved.

Regarding Junior Cricket at SHCC, the Head Coach would work and lead the junior coaching staff at SHCC. Our coaching staff vary between volunteers and paid coaches (individuals qualified with many years of experience) through to those starting out on their coaching journey. Paid coaches are contracted directly by SHCC, but the Head Coach would be expected to advise on the suitability of coaches and use their network when necessary to attract additional coaching talent to the club.

Regarding Senior Cricket at SHCC, the Head Coach will work with club captains and the existing conditioning trainer to develop and improve the all-round skills and capabilities of players participating in competitive senior cricket on behalf of SHCC. The Head Coach will ensure that the competitive senior teams play a brand of cricket which, not only excites fans and members but ensures that SHCC has the best possible chance, each year, of maintaining or improving the club’s Middlesex County Cricket league status.
